Android · early release

Get PawSave on your Android phone.

We're in early release while the Play Store listing is being prepared. Until it goes live, you can install PawSave directly from us — it takes about a minute, and we'll walk you through every step.

Install in 4 steps

It's simpler than it sounds. About a minute.

Because we're not on the Play Store yet, Android will ask you once to allow this install. We'll show you exactly what to tap.

1

Tap "Download APK"

Use the button at the top of this page. The file (pawsave-latest.apk) saves to your Downloads folder. If your browser asks "Keep file?" — tap Keep.

2

Open the file

Tap the download notification at the top of your phone, or open your Files / Downloads app and tap pawsave-latest.apk.

3

Allow the install (one-time)

Android will show: "For your security, your phone isn't allowed to install unknown apps from this source." Don't worry — this is normal for any app installed outside the Play Store.

  1. Tap Settings on that prompt
  2. Turn on Allow from this source
  3. Tap Back to return
  4. Tap Install
4

Open PawSave

You're in. Sign up, allow location and notifications, and you'll start getting alerts for animals in need around you.

Why the warning?

Android shows that prompt for every app installed outside the Play Store — not just ours.

PawSave is safe. We built it, we sign every release, and we test every build before publishing. The Play Store listing is in review — once it's live, this page will simply redirect you there. Until then, this direct install lets you start helping animals today.

Common questions, quick answers.

The install button is greyed out — what do I do?

Make sure you turned on Allow from this source for the browser or Files app you opened the APK from. Tap the prompt's Settings link, enable the toggle, then come back and tap Install.

Play Protect says it can't verify the app

Play Protect flags any app outside the Play Store as "unverified" — it's a default, not a problem with PawSave. Tap Install anyway (or More details → Install anyway). Once we're on the Play Store, this message goes away.

I downloaded from WhatsApp — does that still work?

Yes. Open the file from WhatsApp, then follow steps 3–4 above. The "allow from this source" prompt will name WhatsApp instead of your browser — that's normal.

Will I get updates automatically?

Until we're on the Play Store, the app will prompt you to download the new APK when an update is ready. After we go live on Play Store, updates happen automatically as usual.

I'm on iPhone — can I use PawSave?

Not yet. The iOS app is in the works and we'll announce it here the moment it's ready. Thank you for being patient.
